36 week appt update and pic!

I went in on Friday the 18th for my one day shy of 36 week appt. Before I went to my doctors appt, I met with the OB social worker about the arrangements for the birth. I let her know that Irene and I want to room together with Celeste at the hospital. We talked about who I want in the delivery room (Felix, Irene and Mike). She mentioned I need to have an idea of who I would want in the room in case of a c-section, that only one person would be allowed in. I told her Irene would be the one to go in with me. After meeting with her, I went and checked in for my appt.

It wasn't long and they called me back. I asked the nurse if her scale was working today, LOL. I told them at my last appt (joking of course) that I think their scale was broke at my last appt since it said I gained 6 pounds. They just laughed. So they weighed me, and I only gained TWO pounds. I was very happy with that. My blood pressure was good, temp was good. They took me straight back and put me in a room.

The doctor came in and asked if I had been having contractions. I replied Oh, yeah. I told him it has been feeling like I am going to start my period, pain through my back and legs. He said well, I am going to check your cervix today so we will see if anything is going on. I didn't even have to ask or beg for him to check me, which we all wanted. He listened to Celeste's heartbeat, sounded great. He measured my belly and told me I was measuring about 35 1/2 - 36 weeks. He said he didn't think Celeste would be super big at this point, but I am all belly. That when he feels my belly it is rock hard, all her, not loaded with fluid.

He checked me and said my cervix has began to do what it is supposed to. That it is softening, effacing, and he can get a finger in there, but he wouldn't say I am quite 1 cm. He said he didn't think her arrival was imminent, but not later either. He said He doesn't think I will make it to my due date. He said we are at a point now, we can stop saying We can't have a baby yet, but Okay we can have a baby at anytime now. That we are at that transition period. He did the Strep B test, never had it with the boys, so we will see.

I go back this Thursday , Oct 25th. My doctor had no appts available, so I am having to see someone new :( The following week, they had NO appts at all, so I go again, unless something happens sooner, on Mon, Nov 5th to see our regular doctor. All day Friday, I contracted all afternoon and evening. Yesterday, I had absolute nothing, so we will see how today goes.
